Inserting transition effects between clips

ighlight the file, the last frames of which should transform to the first frames of the fragment following this one and then click on the Transition button. For that purpose, you can also use the Ctrl+T hotkey or select the Add transition item on the File menu.

In Transitions dialog that appears, select the required transition type and enter duration.

Once the Apply button is pressed in the Transitions dialog, the required transition effect will be inserted to the Source Files list between the two selected fragments. Next...

Note: at any moment, you can view how well a certain transition effect fits the selected fragments - by selecting the Preview Project mode under the View button on the toolbar. However, this mode is rather demanding to computer's performance speed and therefore can cause slow playback on slow computers. To exit from the project preview mode, select Single Clip under the View button on the toolbar.
